Police investigating gun claim at non-league football match

Authorities are currently investigating an incident.
Late every month, the incident is thought to have occurred during a reserve-team game between Merrow and Battersea Ironsides.
After the Merrow players believed it was unsafe to continue, the game is understood to have been left.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said:Police were contacted Sunday, 29 September regarding an incident on Burntwood Lane, SW19 at approximately 16:15hrs the previous day.
It was alleged that a person faced the victim and his friends during a soccer game claiming to be in possession of a firearm.
There have been no arrests.
At a document their investigation has been concluded by the Surrey FA without charges, but stressed theyd re-open the situation when the police discover evidence of gamers being threatened with a weapon.
According to the document, a spectator proceeded before being ushered off the Battersea Ironsides supervisor and by the referee. No weapon was seen by the referee.
