The 2018 Winter Olympics

The Olympic Games are divided into two distinct competitions — both the Winter Olympics and the Summer Olympics. Both occur every four years. The Winter Olympics is the smaller of the 2 competitions, but it features events and several distinct sports.
Somewhat of course, the Winter Olympics are. They featured curling, and ski in various forms, together with figure skating, speed skating, bobsleigh.
In the past several years, additional sports are added to the schedule. These include some other forms of skiing and skating, snowboarding, and skeleton (a kind of sledding).
The introduction of sports has helped to widen the appeal of the Winter Olympics. They had been traditionally of interest primarily in North America and Europe, as most of the competing athletes came from these regions.
Throughout the last couple of years, however, athletes in countries such as South Korea and Australia have collaborated successfully in occasions. It has contributed to audiences around the world.
Every single Winter Olympics is held in a different host city. To date, they have been held in twenty five countries spread across the 3 continents. The United States was home to the competition more times than any other country (4), most recently back in 2002.
The prior Winter Olympics were held in 2014, in Sochi, Russia. The following are to be held in PyeongChang County, South Korea. This is the first Winter Olympics of South Korea, though they also hosted the Summer Olympics in 1988.
